Website Roundup

This week's web week in review actually covers a couple weeks because I didn't get it out last week, so a couple of these you have probably seen already, but they're good nonetheless.

There has been another Google algorithm update, so those of you interested in SEO, and the Niche Site Challenge probably should pay attention.

Wow - this has been a crazy week with all kinds of things going on in the internet world! Godaddy basically crashed taking thousands of sites down with it (oops!), the new iPhone was released and all the pre-orders have already sold out, and Shark Tank started back up again!

Okay - it's time to get back to some good Saturday morning reading material. I've been reading a lot lately. Books, that is. Blogs, not so much. My Kindle has been getting put through the paces on all kinds of good stuff. But that's another post.

There has been so much good stuff going on. And we've been insanely busy these days at Orracle Media. And it's all good stuff, because Orracle Media is enjoying growth, adding new team members and working with some incredible people and projects.

Don't you love it when people do the right thing? This week the world heard about Karen Klein, who was the object of egregiously hateful taunting by a bunch of middle school kids on a bus. But this isn't about how the kids, it's how her story went viral and the internet responded in force. As of this morning the campaign that was originally started to send her on a nice $5000 vacation has raised more than $600,000 for her so she can retire! Wow.

It's these kinds of stories that restore a little bit of faith in humanity.

So this morning marks the shelving of my personal blog and its consolidation in to this blog. It's been something I've been thinking about for a long time, but I've finally decided to pull the trigger.

I totally think this is the right decision as I look at the blogs of those that I admire, I see their consolidated presence (though with some exceptions).

I've been collecting the links for this week's Good Stuff post for a couple days and there have been a lot really cool things I've found. Make sure to tune in to the next podcast for more cool stuff.
